X6

She could feel the hunger pangs threatening to cut her into half. She could feel the numbness from the cold floor sipping into her body slowly as if that would be comforting. Sleep was elusive and the night was still young. She had no idea how she would ever fall asleep, not with the thing worn out piece of blanket that was supposed to serve as the barrier between her and the cold July weather.
She tried to coil into a smaller ball to generate some cohesion between her long legs and her upper torso but this was not going to happen. Any movement would translate to discomfort of her younger sister who seemed oblivious of her surrounding; snoring lightly seemingly enjoying her sleep, dreams too maybe.
It had been a long day at school characterised by the usual drama which sapped all her energy as she tried to maintain her cool through it all.She looked forward to the breaks when she could be left alone to her dreams which were full of him. She would loose herself in books which only fueled her desire for him. Time would stand still but this only made more impatient and cause that familiar ache in her heart and belly with longing.
Her thoughts got lost in the day dream into the wee hours of the night and drove away the fatigue she had felt earlier which was a result of the chores she did once she left school. With her cheeks blushed, she finally fell into peaceful sleep of dreams of scenery and long trips with him and ice cream.
Her whole life flashed before her eyes, teary eyes. She was woken from the stupor by a polite persistent knock on her window to massive hooting. How long she had been sitting here she could not determine but all she knew is she was in a different time. As if she was in a time machine. She could feel her heart beating at her throat and the open sunroof could not do any better for her despite warm soothing rays shining on her well tendered smooth skin.
They were together now. The love she dreamt for as a little girl through college. He was her baby now. They weretaking lazy strolls while enjoying some ice cream just the way she had so many times dreamt.
He, the BMW X6, was what always soothed to sleep when she slept on an empty belly. She led him (he was too powerful and muscled to be a girl) of the road and parked near this shrub to ease the traffic she had caused as that particular memory ran through her mind when she stopped at the red light.
It was was a long journey of life and a hard one. She just sat there contented that finally he was all hers soul, body and mind (to her, he was more of a companion than a car. A time machine who was there to keep her going. BMW X6, her white baby.
